Scented Yaadein..

Scented Yaadein is a pilot project by Savanah Fashions. Truth be told, recently I became a lover of candles and I began to search for different scents to bring home. In that process my mind started running.. Why not South Asian scents? Smells that remind us of home and foods we enjoy.. So here is a list of our candles and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. 

1. Rose Falooda: a cold falooda on a warm summer day! This scent consists of rose and malai dudh smells.. 

2. Chandan aka Sandalwood, a sweet smelling wood..

3. Gajra, a beautiful floral smell of jasmine and one of my favourites! A calm and relaxing scent. 

4. Kesar aka saffron,  a spicy and leathery smell with a neutral undertone to keep a balance of the scent. The scent will take you to Kashmir!

5. Elaichi, which we call cardamom, a widely used spice that instantly brings warmth and sweetness. A scent that will remind you of elaichi milk.. 

6. Barfi, a scent that will most probably make you crave a sweet piece of kaju katli.. This dense smell of cashews and milk.. 

7. The evergreen winter scent of Cinnamon aka Daal Chini .. spicy and enticing yet comforting and sweet, all at once. 

8. Mango Lassi. Lit this up and you feel like you have a glass of mango lassi in a jar. The sweet scent of mangoes mixed with dahi (indian yogurt) and vanilla bean background. 

9. Chameli, a floral scent consisting of jasmine flower that will take you to the Himalayas. My other favourite scent!

10. Gulab Jamun. We turned the most famous dessert of India into a candle. A sweet scent of a moist cake soaked in cardamom rose syrup. 

11. Naarial aka Coconut. A sweet, creamy, and a slightly exotic -- light and fresh scent. 

12. Masala Chai (not Chai Tea lol) a beautiful scent of sweet and spicy comforting tea on a rainy day (or night)! 

13. Baarish aka Rain. This earthy scent will give you a nostalgic feeling of home.
